Program Overview

They will know in detail all the treatment philosophies in the specialty of orthodontics. They will be prepared to diagnose the different alterations of malocclusions and be able to apply therapeutic procedures with removable, functional and fixed appliances, reaching an optimal level of specialized training.

They will be able to acquire firm criteria to make diagnoses with coherent and logical treatment plans, being able to apply all the knowledge acquired in practice, with patients in the clinic. This master’s degree tries to combine therapeutics based on scientific evidence, with clinical protocols and the latest technology in digital records (intraoral scanner, CBCT, 3D digital design of smiles, occlusal simulation programs, management of STL files, set up and mock virtual up, invisible braces, polymeric aligners, etc.). All this must be accompanied by a deep knowledge of Craniofacial Growth and Dentofacial Orthopedics, with an interdisciplinary approach.

The Postgraduate Program in Orthodontics is developed from the 1st Cycle with a duration of three years part-time, ideal for the training of university graduates who want to develop a specialization from the bases of knowledge of Orthodontics to obtaining the European Master.

But in addition, this Master contemplates the possibility for all those professionals who document proven experience in orthodontics through other qualifications, who can also obtain the European Master, starting their training from the 2nd Cycle in Almería, Málaga, Madrid, Barcelona. o Seville, added to complementary training until obtaining 180 ECTS credits.

The theory and practices required for the completion of the program will be taught, with continuous evaluation throughout each academic year and at the end of the training period, students must present the development of a Master’s Thesis that will be defended orally. at the UCAM (San Antonio Catholic University).
